Sound Design
Welcome to my Sound design page!
Welcome to my sound design page! I have been a sound designer with 3 years of experience in creating immersive soundscapes for a variety of projects during my time at Southern Oregon University. Whether it's designing sound effects for a video game, crafting Foley sounds for a film, or creating unique audio experiences for virtual reality, I am dedicated to delivering high-quality, custom-tailored sound design solutions that enhance the overall impact and emotion of any media project. Through this page, I have highlighted my favorite projects that I have worked on during my time at SOU. To make it not-so-chaotic, I have only included 3 tracks. But reach out if you would like to hear more from the show that interests you! I hope that you enjoy listening to these samples as much as I enjoyed creating them!
Listen up.
Here are all of the context for each of the tracks;
Native Son - 2017
Play based on Novel by Richard Wright. Did as a class project. Here's an excerpt of my design where our main protagonists are entering a billiards club set in the 1930's.
2. The Diviners - 2022
Jim Leonard Jr.'s The Diviners is a luminous story of religion and magic, faith and doubt, love and grief. A thesis project that I got to design, here's a track from when the young boy in the play was dragged underwater.
3. Polaroid Stories - 2020
“Polaroid Stories” is a play that mixes the ancient and mythical stories of Ovid's “Metamorphosis” and actual experiences homeless youth face today. In 1996, Naomi Iizuka wrote this piece to raise awareness of the homeless community and how our society has been making hard choices society for centuries. This track is from the top of the show to show the audience the chaotic natur of what is about to unfold.
